Where Curiosity Becomes Confidence
Young children are natural scientists.
They constantly ask questions, explore their surroundings, and try to understand how the world works. The challenge is preserving that curiosity and turning it into a lifelong love of learning.
Each week, students spend one hour immersed in a hands-on science experience and one hour building and creating through robotics and engineering activities specifically designed for young learners.
Students may explore chemistry, biology, physics, engineering, weather, space science, and more through activities that encourage experimentation, discovery, and creativity.
Every lesson is designed to help children build confidence while developing critical thinking skills through play-based STEM learning.
Because every future engineer begins by asking questions.

For Future Engineers, Builders & Innovators
Could your child create a robot?
Design a video game?
Build an autonomous machine?
Engineering Studio is designed for students ready to move beyond beginner STEM activities and begin developing real technical skills.
Students explore robotics, engineering, computer programming, electronics, and 3D printing while learning industry-relevant programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scratch. Advanced students may also pursue C++ and more specialized technical projects.
Whether students dream of becoming engineers, scientists, technology leaders, or entrepreneurs, they receive individualized guidance while progressing at their own pace.
Projects become increasingly sophisticated as students gain confidence and technical ability.
This is where future innovators begin building their foundation.

Advanced
Advanced Robotics. Engineering. Innovation.
Most STEM programs teach students how to assemble pre-built kits.
Professional engineers do something very different.
They identify problems, design solutions, build prototypes, test assumptions, and continually improve their work through iteration and experimentation.
The Applied Engineering & Autonomous Systems Lab is Stemtree of Coral Gables’s advanced mentorship-based engineering experience.
Students work alongside experienced instructors to design, fabricate, program, and test sophisticated custom robotics projects using Python, CAD design software, sensors, electronics, mechanical engineering principles, and 3D printing technologies.
Every project is unique.
Some students prepare for robotics competitions. Others develop engineering portfolios for competitive universities such as MIT, Caltech, or Johns Hopkins. Others simply want to create something extraordinary.
By the end of the program, students leave with a portfolio-quality project demonstrating creativity, technical skill, perseverance, and innovation.
The result is far more than a robot.
The result is proof of what a student is capable of building.

In-Home
Education Designed Around Your Child
What if education adapted to your child rather than forcing your child to adapt to a classroom?
Stemtree of Coral Gables’s In-Home Instruction Program delivers a personalized STEM education experience directly to your family.
Our instructors travel to your home and provide customized instruction in science, mathematics, coding, robotics, engineering, and technology through hands-on projects and inquiry-based learning.
Every learning plan is tailored to the student’s goals, interests, strengths, and pace.
Ideal for homeschool families, gifted learners, students seeking enrichment, or families looking for a more individualized educational experience.
Because great education should never be one-size-fits-all.

Every Afternoon is an Opportunity to Learn, Create, and Grow
At Stemtree of Coral Gables, our After-School STEM Academy is much more than childcare, it’s a place where students continue to learn, grow, and build the skills they’ll need for the future.
We begin each afternoon by helping students complete their homework in a supportive environment, reinforcing classroom learning while providing individualized academic assistance and test preparation when needed. Our instructors work closely with each student to build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and encourage independent learning.
Once homework is complete, the real fun begins.
Students participate in engaging, hands-on STEM experiences that may include science experiments, robotics, coding, engineering, 3D printing, technology, and creative design challenges. Every activity is designed to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving while making learning exciting.
With small instructor-to-student ratios and a personalized approach, parents can finish their workday knowing their child is safe, engaged, and making meaningful progress in an environment that inspires learning long after the school bell rings.
Our After-School STEM Academy helps students:

Everything you need to know about our partnership.
Elev8 is a K-8 microschool designed for families seeking a more personalized, future-focused educational experience than is typically available in traditional public or private schools. Our mission is to combine rigorous academics with real-world skill development.
Yes. Elev8 utilizes a proprietary Learning Management System (LMS) and curriculum that is accredited through Cognia's international accreditation framework, and is aligned with Florida Department of Education standards.
Students build an academic portfolio throughout the year and receive transcripts documenting academic progress and achievement. Academic records can be used to support future educational transitions and demonstrate mastery of coursework.
The school day runs from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Each morning begins with a brief motivational talk. The remainder of the day includes Mathematics, Science, History, Language Arts, Foreign Language, Life Skills, and Computer Science. The final block covers Entrepreneurship, Financial literacy, Public speaking, Leadership development, and Python programming.
Our educational philosophy is based on mastery, not memorization. Students work through curriculum using our Learning Management System while instructors monitor progress and provide support as needed. Lessons are intentionally concise and focused.
At Elev8, assessments are tools for learning—not tools for punishment. Quizzes are embedded throughout the curriculum to measure comprehension and retention. Students may retake quizzes as needed until mastery is demonstrated.
Generally, no. We intentionally design the school day to provide sufficient opportunities for instruction, practice, application, and mastery so students have time for family, athletics, and hobbies when they leave school.
Tammy Pugh (Superintendent), Daniel Puder (Co-Founder & Mentor), Jennifer Kramer (Chief Operating Officer), and Ty Gabriel (STEM Education & Innovation Partner).
We intentionally maintain a small learning environment. Enrollment is capped at approximately 30 students, with a student-to-instructor ratio of approximately 10:1.
Weekday programs include Future Engineers After School Academy (3:00 PM – 7:00 PM) and Athletics. Weekend STEM programs include Little Inventors, Engineering Studio, and Project Titan.
Student safety is a top priority. Elev8 maintains a dedicated security officer on site, doors are locked during the school day, and there is a robust notification system for any issues.
Families choose Elev8 because they want more than a traditional educational experience. They want rigorous academics, individualized instruction, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and future-ready skills in a safe environment.
